FALL YOGA EXTENSION
Seated, standing and balancing hatha yoga postures will be used to increase flexibility, relax the body and allow the mind and thoughts to settle. If you want to increase flexibility, tune out from a long day at work, release tension and have fun, this class is for you! Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation will be included.
Participants should be able to get up and down from the floor easily. Chairs are available to make seated postures accessible, if needed. Feel free to attend this yoga class with any amount of yoga experience.
Please do not eat 1.5 hrs before class. Hydrate your body throughout the day, before and after class.
Please arrive 10-minutes early to be fair to other participants and so class can start on time.
Bring your own yoga sticky mat. Yoga props will be provided.
The practice is done barefoot.
Participants with an injury should bring a doctor's note stating they are approved by their doctor to practice yoga.

Lee has been practicing yoga since 2001. Lee believes the body and mind connection has the power to strengthen the immune system and help with healing when we are mindful and find ways to slow down.
Lee completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at UVM with John McConnell in 2012. Since then, she has been teaching regularly at Balance Yoga, Hotel Vermont, Yoga Roots and to private groups. Lee also completed Principle-Based Partner Yoga™, Bodhi & Mind Yoga and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (level 1) training. She tries to find ways to incorporate gratitude, compassion and mindfulness into daily living.
Lee enjoys incorporating class themes and great music to help students gently move, flow and let go. She encourages the use of yoga props to ease students into more challenging postures and often adds a partner yoga or group pose to classes for added fun. You can expect a class that focuses on alignment and letting go, incorporating effort and ease as you rest and breathe in a safe place that is most comfortable for you. Check your ego and your busy day at the door!
Lee has been teaching yoga at ""MMU After Dark"" for several years. She is the original organizer behind the free, annual community yoga event in Burlington, ""Yoga On Church Street"". She lives with her husband Luke and her basenji-lab mix Parker in Richmond.
