The Native American Flute. Its mystical sound is like no other. Its sound is supremely sweet, like a calling from ancient lands. And surprisingly, it’s very easy to learn - it’s the easiest type of flute to play, as it doesn't require a special lip placement (embrouchure) to produce its tone.
In this three week course, we’ll cover the basics to get you started on the Native American Flute. In a short time, you’ll be provided with the tools to take your flute out in to the world and make musical magic.
Flutes will be provided to use and practice with in class. If you have your own, feel free to bring it.
Instructor Zach Cohen is also a flutemaker and will offer handmade flutes for purchase at a discounted rate to class members.
