Pillowcase or two (for your bed!)
This quick, beautiful and easy pattern is fantastic for the beginner but also fun for anyone comfortable with sewing! Dress your bed up but these also make fantastic gifts.
Please bring; Fabric for the pillowcase (quilting fabric works best), pre-washed and dried. 3/4 yard main pillow fabric, 1/3 yard contrast fabric, and 1/8 yard trim fabric (Double these lengths if you would like to sew two pillowcases!). Please also bring a sewing machine in good working order, scissors, matching thread, rotary cutter, mat and quilting ruler.
(Instructor will have extra just in case)
Sewing Circle - Pillow Cases (2/2)
- Day: February 2nd
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Room 114
Instructor: Ellen Crary
I grew up wearing handmade clothes by my grandmother. I was always in awe of her skill and talent and wanted to make sure that these skills were not lost. I love the mix of creativity and precision that sewing requires while at the same time creating something beautiful and useful! Teaching sewing to others combines my love of teaching with my love of sewing.
Along with teaching at MMU After Dark for several sessions, I have previously had a small boutique children's clothing business on Etsy, local shops and at holiday and farmers markets. I love to sew gifts, bags, quilts and home decor.
